Maria Halim

Clinical Coordinator

Maria completed her medical training and residency in Jakarta, Indonesia. During her career as a medical doctor in Indonesia, she worked as a primary care physician for two large automotive manufacturing companies and the United Can Company, the largest canned food and drink manufacturer in Southeast Asia at that time, where she oversaw the primary care needs of the company’s vast workforce of over 5,000 employees. She also served as a medical officer and clinical instructor in the Indonesian Army for more than ten years, during which time she became part of the medical team of the Indonesian parliament. Since immigrating to Canada, she has become an incredible asset at LEMMO Integrated Cancer Care Inc. in providing support in the office working as a clinical assistant and who also understands the principals of naturopathic medicine and integrative cancer care. As a mother of two, including one who graduated from medical school at the University of British Columbia, she believes that LEMMO Integrated Cancer Care Inc. represents the future of what oncology has to offer, where therapies are tailored to each patient’s unique set of circumstances and the latest evidence-guided treatments are considered to maximize each patient’s quality of life and chance of survival.

Denise Drisdelle RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Denise is certified in Manual Lymph Drainage, a gentle technique used to treat over 60 conditions.  I mostly work within the field of oncology, using Manual Lymph Drainage to treat pre-surgery, post-surgery, scar tissue, range of motion and a condition called lymphedema.  Lymphedema is a permanent swelling in an area that was treated with lymph node removal or radiation.  It can occur in an arm, chest, leg, abdomen or face depending on the area treated.  Manual Lymph Drainage or Combined Decongestive Therapy can prevent or treat this condition effectively and is considered the gold standard in care of Lymphedema.
