Lipo-Therapy - Dr. Lemmo's Mesotherapy Approach"Lipo-therapy" uses the combination of science and natural medicine to offer solutions to fat and cellulite reduction without the focus for surgery or liposuction. While there are popular products and methods that claim to aid in weight-loss, there has not been any emphasis on providing site-specific fat and cellulite reduction benefits without recommending a surgical approach. Some people resort to the use of certain supplements that may be designed for fat-loss or in medical terms "lipo-lysis". One of the main problems with the oral use of supplements is that the gut and portal circulatory system are the first parts exposed to the medicine and not the hard to lose or unwanted areas. This idea is further complicated by the fact that the circulation to fattier areas can be quite poor than compared to the rest of the body. Some topical creams may claim to provide site-specific benefit but the delivery and strength of the medicines into the target area is questionable and so are the results. It is for some of these reasons why local surgery is so popular for removing these troublesome areas. To help solve this dilemma via a more natural and non-surgical approach, Dr. Lemmo has devised a formula for site specific treatments that first targets the undesirable fatty and cellulite areas by local injection. Lipo-therapy works to create "fat-dissolving" results by helping to regulate your body's fat burning machinery directly by injection. Generally, there is a balance between fat-burning and fat-storage that occurs in most people. However, in some people, the bodies fat storage capabilities may dominate or take greater control. Lipo-Therapy helps block the sites on fat cells which are involved in storing fat (which you don't want) so that your fat-burning machinery dominates (which you do want). In addition, a specific combination of vitamins, minerals, and homeopathic medicines are added to this cocktail to help support the fat-burning process and to help firm up the target areas. Recently, the use of meso-therapy has been gaining popularity here in North America as an aid to fat and cellulite reduction using a site-specific injection approach too. This type of treatment has its roots in France since the 1950s and it resembles a similar concept to Dr. Lemmo's "Lipo-Therapy" program. Dr. Lemmo first gained the concept of using site-specific injection techniques for this area of medicine through his medical training in Neural Therapy over 6 years ago. In general, like Mesotherapy, the application of Neural Therapy incorporates the use of anesthetics, nutritional, homeopathic, and conventional medicines for pain management, regulating the nervous system, organ enhancement, scar therapy (sclerotherapy), and for nerve blocks (i.e. epidural). Neural Therapy philosophy also has a focus on site-specific treatments for helping to improve a persons health and well-being. In fact, Neural Therapy has it origins in Germany dating as far back as the 1920s (prior to Mesotherapy). It is for some of these reasons, Mesotherapy may be considered a French branching of Neural Therapy medicine. Consequently, in more technical terms, Dr. Lemmo is practicing a unique form of "Site-Specific Neural Therapy Medicine For Aiding Fat and Cellulite Metabolism". As stated earlier, Dr. Lemmo uses a specific cocktail of medicines that he has found quite effective and unique for treating patients. The strength of each treatment may vary from person to person due to differences in health histories and the size of target areas. This unique blend of ingredients and treatment style is the basis of Dr. Lemmo's Lipo-therapy" injection program. While on the subject of Mesotherapy, Dr. Lemmo also expresses some concern over the high variability of medical ingredients used by physicians and healthcare providers that claim to practice Mesotherapy. Basically, the ingredients used between one doctor and the next can be quite different, however, they may all market and claim to practice the art of Mesotherapy. Most patients do not know this fact. Generally, people require 1 to 2 office visits per week for approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Hard to lose or unwanted areas are the main target sites. People usually require several small injections during each treatment. The number of injections and strength of each treatment is assessed on a case by case basis. The procedure is quick and the more common noticeable discomfort some people feel is an initial minor pinch from the very fine needles that are used (which is to be expected). Following the procedure, some people may notice minor bruising. For more information, please contact the office to schedule for a free initial consultation. Lipo-Dissolve "For people that want an alternative to surgery or liposuction""Lipo-Dissolve" has been gaining popularity here in Canada and the United States during the past few years in aesthetic medicine. It has been featured on numerous TV programs (i.e. 20/20) and magazines. In other countries, Lipostabil is the brand name for this revolutionary medical ingredient. Recent research by Dr. Patricia Guedes Rittes from Brazil published the positive benefits of using Lipo-Dissolve in reducing the fat or puffy areas found under the eyes (also known to some as the "tired' look). Cosmetic improvement occured in all patients. These results are rather significant in light of the only treatment recognized for reducing or removing such fat deposits is through surgery (known as lower eyelid blepharoplasty). Lipo-Dissolve provides a non-surgical alternative for improving "old-looking" eyes (without the worries or possible complications of post-operative care). RITTES Method for "Lipo-Dissolve"

Again, surgery or liposuction is the typical form of treatment in such cases. Other parts of the body which contains unwanted "fat" can also be targeted with the "Lipo-Dissolve" treatment concept (i.e. chin, hips, thighs, arms, rolls, love handles, saddle bags, butterfly wings, cellulite, etc.). Lipo-Dissolve is best suited for men and women who are not excessively overweight, but instead have certain problem areas with stubborn fat that can no longer be reduced by diet and exercise. In fact, Lipo-Dissolve can be considered a component of mesotherapy medicine. Again, this form of treatment can be considered a valuable answer to people who want lipo-suction but are not comfortable to go under the knife. Generally people require one treatment every 1 to 3 weeks depending on the location and size of the area in question. The number of injections and strength of each treatment is assessed on an individual basis. Afterall, we are all different. The procedure is performed in the office and takes minutes to complete (i.e. can be performed on your lunch break). The results can be noticed after a single treatment session for smaller fat areas. Larger areas normally need more treatment sessions (i.e. 4 to 8). Again, each treatment involves small injections (with a very fine needle) into the fatty target areas. Afterwards, people may experience redness and swelling which may last between a few hours to a few days. Remember that fat-dissolving is occurring during such reactions. The fluid does not produce scarring. Minor bruising may also be expected with treatment. The main ingredient in Lipo-Dissolve uses an emulsifier or fat-dissolving chemical known as lecithin or phosphatidylcholine that is naturally made by the body to break down dietary fats. It is not a stimulant. In general, this main ingredient in Lipo-Dissolve has traditionally been applied in medicine to improve cholesterol levels and to lower triglycerides (i.e. blood fats). It has clinical applications when applied by intravenous injection without having adverse consequences. For example, when employed intravenously in patients with cardiac ischemia, a reduction in arterial plaques occurs. Lipo-Dissolve is made up a Soya oil so it has a more thicker consistency than compared to water-based injections. Combining "Lipo-Dissolve" with Dr. Lemmo's "Lipo-Therapy" program (a comprehensive Mesotherapy approach) is an ideal means of enhancing the benefits of a fat and cellulite reduction treatment program.
