The great pioneer Dr. V. Craig Jordan, considered the “father of tamoxifen”, and the first example of using a drug in a targeted way to treat hormone sensitive breast cancers has recently passed away. I had the great pleasure to correspond with Dr. Jordan and was honoured to have him write a guest editorial on a case report we had published. We are saddened to learn of his passing but at the same time to be in amazement on his inspiring legacy. An example of placing politics aside when seeking truth. He will be forever missed and our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
