About Dr. Walter Lemmo

Founded LEMMO Integrated Cancer Care in Vancouver – Canada’s longest-operating naturopathic medical centre dedicated exclusively to cancer care. The clinic provides hope and comprehensive, evidence-informed, experience-guided integrative treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Dr. Walter Lemmo has been licensed since 1999, in clinical practice for over 25 years.

A graduate from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington – naturopathic medical education and training.

Foundational training includes undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC.

A member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, the British Columbia Naturopathic Association, Washington State Naturopathic Physicians, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

A speaker at conferences, health, radio & television programs throughout Canada and the United States. Published in several magazines and peer-viewed medical journals that includes a supportive guest editorial by the late Dr. V. Craig Jordan, known as the “father of tamoxifen”, former Professor of Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Dallas/ Fort Worth Living Legend Chair of Cancer Research.

A global reputation in the area of cancer, and is sought out locally and internationally for his experience and knowledge in this area. In 2009 became Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO) – one of the field’s highest distinctions – recognized as a Naturopathic Oncologist in the United States.

Believes in both an integrated and collaborative approach to health care and works together as part of a team with all healthcare providers, other naturopathic physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, family physicians, specialists, and oncologists. For each patient, provides the latest information on the numerous approaches, treatments and testing options available locally and globally when applicable.

For every patient, offers an in-depth, critical review of their case and the latest global options in testing, treatments, and supportive approaches—ensuring the best possible outcomes.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Lemmo cherishes time with his wife, three children, and family dog, enjoying British Columbia’s stunning trails, ski hills, and the serene Gulf Islands.
